Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated candidates who successfully cleared the Civil Services Examination 2025, praising their dedication and perseverance while also encouraging those who could not secure their desired results to remain hopeful and continue striving.
In a message posted on X, the Prime Minister said the achievement marked an important milestone for the successful candidates. “Congratulations to all those who have successfully cleared the Civil Services Examination, 2025. Their dedication, perseverance and hard work have led to this significant milestone,” Modi said.
The Civil Services Examination, conducted annually by the union Public Service Commission, is considered one of India’s most competitive examinations. Successful candidates are selected for key administrative services including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service and Indian Foreign Service, among others.
Extending his wishes to the successful candidates, the Prime Minister said he hoped they would dedicate themselves to public service and work towards fulfilling the aspirations of citizens. “Wishing them the very best as they embark on a journey of serving the nation and fulfilling the aspirations of the people,” he said.
Modi also addressed aspirants who did not achieve the outcome they had hoped for in this year’s examination, acknowledging the emotional challenges that often accompany such results. “To those who may not have secured the desired outcome in the Civil Services Examination, I understand that such moments can be difficult. However, this is only one step in a larger journey,” he wrote.
Encouraging them to remain optimistic, the Prime Minister noted that there are numerous opportunities ahead, both through future attempts at the examination and through other avenues of contributing to the country’s development. “Many opportunities lie ahead, both in future examinations and in the many avenues through which you can contribute to our nation. My best wishes for the road ahead,” he added.
Each year, thousands of aspirants across India compete in the Civil Services Examination, which involves a multi-stage process including the preliminary exam, mains examination and personality test. The results are closely watched as they determine the next batch of officers who will join the country’s civil services and play a crucial role in governance and public administration.
