Neer Dosa: Neer Dosa is a very light and thin dish of South India, which is very popular especially in Udupi and Mangaluru region of Karnataka. If the batter is not right or the pan is not prepared properly then the Neer Dosa bursts. Therefore making it can be a bit tricky. But today we will tell you some easy tips, which will make your Neer Dosa absolutely restaurant-style.

Keep the right consistency of batter

The batter of Neer Dosa should be very thin. Soak the rice for 3-4 hours and grind it. Add water little by little while grinding. Keep the batter so thin that it looks like buttermilk. If the batter is too thick then the dosa may burst.

choose the right rice

Use plain white rice for Neer Dosa. This makes the dosa soft and thin.

heat the pan properly

The pan should be medium hot. If you pour the batter on a pan that is too hot, the dosa may stick or tear. Before adding the batter, apply light oil or coconut oil.

Method of adding batter

Neer Dosa is not spread. Pour one ladle of batter on the pan from all sides. A thin layer will form automatically.

cover and cook

Neer Dosa is usually cooked on one side only. After adding the batter, put the lid on for 30-40 seconds. This makes dosa soft and of correct texture.

Add some salt and coconut

If you wish, you can add some salt and some grated coconut to the batter. It tastes good and the dosa does not break. Stir the batter lightly before making each dosa, as thin batter may settle down.
