Global pop icon Ricky Martin, along with celebrated Indian singers Falguni Pathak and Sukhbir Singh, will headline a star-studded closing ceremony ahead of the final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.

The ceremony will combine international pop with the vibrant rhythms of Indian music, setting the stage for an electrifying finale as co-hosts India face New Zealand in the title clash of cricket’s biggest T20 tournament.

Pathak, a cultural icon from Gujarat, will kick off the ceremony with a high-energy performance, bringing a strong local flavour to the Ahmedabad spectacle. Known for popular hits such as Maine Payal Hai Chhankai and O Piya, she will be joined by nearly 50 Bollywood dancers, transforming the stadium into a festive celebration with colourful choreography.

Punjabi pop sensation Sukhbir Singh, often dubbed the “Prince of Bhangra,” will follow with his signature energetic act accompanied by a large troupe of dancers and traditional dhol beats. The singer is known for global hits such as Ishq (Oh Ho Ho Ho) and Dil Kare, which have made him one of the most influential names in Punjabi pop music.

The musical extravaganza will conclude with a grand performance by Ricky Martin, the two-time Grammy and five-time Latin Grammy award winner. The global superstar, known for iconic hits including Livin’ la Vida Loca, She Bangs and the famous football anthem The Cup of Life (La Copa de la Vida), is expected to bring international star power to the world’s largest cricket stadium.

Speaking about the event, Martin said sport and music share a unique ability to unite people across cultures.

“Sport and music have a unique way of bringing people together, and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is a celebration of that shared passion,” he said. “It’s an honour to be part of such a special occasion where millions of fans come together with incredible energy and love for the game. I’m excited to perform at the closing ceremony and celebrate the thrill of the tournament with fans in the stadium and around the world.”

Gates at the Narendra Modi Stadium will open at 3.30 pm IST, with the closing ceremony scheduled to begin at 5.30 pm IST, ahead of the final match which starts at 7 pm IST.

With a packed stadium expected and millions of viewers tuning in globally, the closing ceremony promises to be a vibrant cultural spectacle before the tournament reaches its dramatic conclusion. Ticket holders have been advised to arrive early to ensure they do not miss the pre-match celebrations.
