Mumbai: Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor celebrated Women’s Day with a powerful post on social media. She encouraged self-love among women with the iconic line “Main apni favourite hoon (I am my own favourite)”.

Taking to Instagram, the actress wrote, “To all the women out there DON’T EVER FORGET… to say every single day of your life… MAIN APNI FAVOURITE HOON… Happy Women’s Day, ladies.” Kareena added a series of images along with the Women’s Day message. The first image featured a sun-kissed selfie. The second image showcased a backshot against a location resembling the Alps. The other images also featured the actress in her natural glow.

The post garnered the attention of fans. One wrote, “Happy Women’s Day! Keep shining and inspiring!” Another commented, “Mother to Manyyy.”

Actor Akansha Ranjan Kapoor also took to social media to share her egg-freezing journey on Women’s Day. “Yesterday I froze my eggs!! I really didn’t plan on sharing, but today feels like the right day to say this. The female body is EXTRAORDINARY. The last two weeks were intense. Injecting myself with fat needles every day, hormones doing their thing, the bloating, the mood swings, the endless scans, the meds, the IV drip, and finally the surgery (sic),” said  Akansha.

She added, “But all I want to say is women are Bad***** and how in awe I am of how wonderfully intelligent and capable our bodies are.” Further, in the caption, she explained one of images. “The second pic is from today- dressing for the job I want. Athletic and getting back to my routine.. even though I could barely manage a 20-minute wobble around my building. But honestly, that felt like enough! Because this body just did something pretty amazing. Happy Women’s Day,” said the actress.
