Bruno Mars has finally landed his first album debut at the top of the charts with his latest release, The Romanticmarking a major milestone in the pop star’s career.

Released on February 27, the singer’s fourth studio album entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 with 186,000 equivalent album units in its opening week.

While Mars has topped the chart before, this marks the first time one of his full-length solo projects has debuted directly at the summit.

The achievement comes more than a decade after his 2012 album Unorthodox Jukebox eventually climbed to No. 1 in 2013 after spending several weeks rising through the rankings.

His 2016 release, 24K Magicfamously stalled at No. 2 after being blocked from the top spot by Hardwired… to Self-Destruct by Metallica.

Industry trackers also credited the strong debut of The Romantic to its vinyl push, with 48,000 copies sold across multiple variants.

The album’s lead single, I Just Mighthas already become Mars’ tenth chart-topping hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and is widely expected to return to No. 1 when the next chart update is released.
