Soloist, the Clumber Spaniel, has been crowned Best in Show at Crufts after winning the gundog contest earlier this evening. The world-famousdog show extravaganza concluded today with 18,600 talented pooches competing for a chance to win the most celebrated title in the world of dogs.

After taking home the major trophy of the night, Soloist's owner Lee Cox gave an emotional acceptance speech. He said: "Just amazing, I can't believe it. It's just wonderful for this breed. He's a dog of a lifetime...he's just wonderful. He's a bit of a diva, likes his own way, very chilled but never lets me down."

In the final round, judges assess the seven group winners on their movement, structure, temperament and how well they represent their breed standard before selecting the Best in Show winner for 2026. A whippet called Miuccia, from Venice in Italy, was crowned Best in Show last year, beating more than 18,000 dogs from around the world to claim the top award.
