Lucknow, Read: ‘Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan’ is becoming a strong medium of self-employment for youth and women. With the help of this scheme, Prabhnoor Kaur of Kanpur converted her hobby into a business and set up a successful bakery business and provided employment to other women as well.


Prabhnoor Kaur earlier used to make cakes for relatives and friends. To take this work forward, he also conducted bakery workshops in Delhi and Bengaluru. During this time he got information about Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign. Taking guidance from District Industries Centre, Kanpur, he obtained an interest-free loan of Rs 4.25 lakh under the scheme and expanded his business by purchasing modern machines and ovens.


On 13 April 2025, on the day of Baisakhi, she started a bakery studio named ‘Sweet Sculpt by Cours’. Today, customized cakes are prepared here and orders have started coming from other districts including Lucknow and Gonda. Many women are making a living from their bakery studios. Prabhanur Kaur’s success proves that with government schemes and right guidance, women can not only become self-reliant but can also provide employment opportunities to other people.
