The FA Cup quarter-final draw is in, with Liverpool handed a nightmare tie and Arsenal given a favourable route to the semis. Another exciting weekend of cup football has seen two more upsets and a few goal-filled ties as clubs competed to be in the hat for the last eight. Six Premier League teams will contest the next stage, alongside Championship side Southampton and Port Vale, who sit bottom of League One. Vale stunned top-flight Sunderland yesterday, while the Saints defeated Fulham away from home.
Elsewhere, Liverpool eased past Wolves, but Chelsea and Arsenal had to fight hard to see off Wrexham and Mansfield Town, respectively. Chelsea were taken to extra time and briefly faced the threat of penalties before VAR intervened to cancel out a Wrexham extra-time equaliser. Man City won away at Newcastle while Leeds thrashed Norwich to join their Premier League rivals in the next round. That leaves just one match still to be played - West Ham vs Brentford.
