They say what goes around comes around, and that definitely holds true for this woman. Many people believe that if you do good deeds, then good things will happen to you in return. They say the opposite is true for those who are unkind to others – as they won't get help when it's their turn to be down on their luck.

One woman on social media proved this to be true, as she got a welcome surprise after feeding a stray cat outside her house. Giselle found a stray cat near her property and decided to leave some food out for it, and a few days later, the animal returned to her property with something she wanted Giselle to see.

In a video shared on TikTok, Giselle said the cat had returned with her five kittens. As soon as the woman opened her front door, the mum and her babies instantly ran inside her property. This shows that if you do good deeds, you might just find yourself showered with adorable gifts.

And it seems that Giselle was absolutely delighted with the outcome. She wrote on her video: "Throwback to when we fed a stray cat, and she returned with all her babies."

Commenters on Giselle's video were quick to tell her that she should keep the mum and her babies, providing they really are stray and don't have an owner, as well as telling her they were "jealous" that something like this hasn't happened to them.

One person said: "Tell me you kept every single one of them!" Another added: "I'd shrug and just accept my new life as a parent of five kittens and a momma cat. Could be worse."

A third wrote: "Oh my god, all of them just coming in! Please tell me you helped these angels."

Giselle shared a follow-up video in which she said she was unfortunately not able to take the cats in herself. However, her neighbour has helped find them all loving new homes, so they will no longer be out on the streets.

She already has a dog who was "very mean" to the cats and wasn't a fan of having them in the house, so she didn't think it was fair to keep any of them.

Giselle also admitted she used to have a cat that was with her for 13 years before she passed away – and ever since, she hasn't felt ready to take in another cat.

She added: "But the good news is, the kittens all did find homes. While they were getting their lunch and dinner from me, they were getting their breakfast from another neighbour, and said neighbour was the one who helped them all find homes."

It can be hard to tell if a cat is a stray or simply an owned cat roaming around outside. The RSPCA states that as a charity with limited resources, it cannot respond to calls about healthy stray cats, and it will only help animals suffering from cruelty or neglect. However, they have shared some tips if you find a stray, feral, or lost cat:

• Check to see if the cat is wearing a collar or tag with the contact details of the owner - only approach if the cat is calm.


• Ask around locally. Cats roam over a wide area, and sometimes they can be mistaken for strays even when they have owners.


• Contact the local vet to scan for a microchip.


• Advertise on social media and ask around locally.


• Register the found cat on Animal Search UK.

If you cannot find an owner, you can rehome a stray cat yourself. If you're unable to keep the cat, a local animal rescue charity may be able to help, and the RSPCA recommends contacting reputable organisations such as local RSPCA animal centres or Cats Protection.
