How to Make Delicious Semolina Halwa


Step 1 – Prepare the Ingredients


To make the halwa, take 250 grams of semolina. Check for any bugs or impurities. Sift the semolina and set it aside.


Add an equal amount of sugar to it. You can measure it using a bowl or cup, but the proportions should be equal.



Step 2 – Roast the Semolina


The halwa's flavor and aroma are best achieved when prepared in pure ghee. Therefore, use about 200 grams of ghee (add more or less as desired). Add the semolina to a pan and fry over low heat for 8-10 minutes. Then, add half the ghee and fry for another 2-3 minutes. The semolina should turn a light golden color.


Step 3 – Prepare the Syrup


In a separate pan, make the syrup by adding sugar and three times the amount of water as the semolina. Cook until the sugar dissolves completely. Add the powdered cardamom during this time. Pour half of the prepared syrup into the roasted semolina and mix well.


Step 4 – Cook the Halwa


Add the remaining syrup to the semolina. Reduce the heat to low. Stir gently and cook until the halwa thickens. Turn off the heat when it begins to thicken. You can choose a thin or thick pudding according to your preference.



Step 5 – Garnish and Serve


If you like saffron, add a little soaked saffron while making the syrup. The delicious semolina pudding is ready, and you can serve it with your favorite nuts. Children love this pudding the most.
