The animated K-pop girl group HUNTR/X was recently awarded Women of the Year at the 2026 Billboard Women in Musicmarking a significant event for both musicians and filmmakers alike. The success of their hit song Goldenwhich became a worldwide sensation after it was featured in the Netflix animated feature film KPop Demon Huntersis evidence of this group’s cultural and commercial success.
All the music that the fictional HUNTR/X girl group performs in the film is really sung by E.J.A.E., Audrey Nunaand Rei Amiwho helped to make the characters come alive and perform well on the album that is also a huge hit.
“Golden” was released in July 2025 and immediately rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart and also achieved No. 1 status in over 30 different countries. At the 2026 Grammy Awards, Golden was awarded Best Song Written for Visual Mediabecoming the first K-pop song to receive this award.
