Recognized by the Professional Squash Association (PSA), the tournament is building on the success of its 2025 edition, which was voted one of the Top 10 Iconic PSA events of the year. Defending women’s champion Anahat Singh will be seen in the event in the 2026 edition. The lineup also includes India’s top players like Ramit Tandon, Abhay Singh, Veer Chotrani, Velavan Senthilkumar and Joshna Chinappa. Along with them, international contenders like Yahya Elanwasni, Hana Moataz and Mazen Hesham are also included.
This competition will begin a very competitive week of world-class squash. The tournament will have US$44,500 in prize money for both the men’s and women’s events.
Cyrus Poncha, Secretary General, Squash Rackets Federation of India, said, “The Indian Open has fast become a landmark in the PSA calendar, providing Indian players with exposure to world-class competition while raising the profile of squash across the country. For 2026, we are excited to continue to grow the international prominence of the tournament and provide fans with the opportunity to watch high-level matches live, helping support the long-term growth of the sport in India.”
The quarterfinals, semi-finals and final of the competition will take place on glass courts, creating an arena-style squash venue optimized for energetic, close-up viewing.
With equal prize money and a lineup of top Indian and international players on a bigger stage, the 2026 Indian Open will cement India’s place in global squash.
