Monalisa got married at the Arumanoor Sri Nainar Deva Temple in Poovar near Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. The video of their wedding is going viral on social media.

At the Arumanur Nainar Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, her boyfriend Farman is seen filling her maang with vermillion and making her wear a thread like Mangalsutra in the presence of many people. During this time both of them are looking very happy.
According to reports, Monalisa is a resident of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and her husband Farman is a resident of Maharashtra. Both were in a relationship for one and a half years. However, the couple faced a lot of opposition from Monalisa’s father, Jai Singh Bhosale, as they belong to different religions. It is also alleged that he had forced Monalisa to marry a distant relative. After marrying her Muslim boyfriend, Monalisa while talking to the media said, “My family wanted me to get married somewhere far away, but I did not like it… but now I am happy…”
Monalisa was recently shooting for her first Malayalam film ‘Nagamma’ in Poovar, when news came that her father found her and tried to forcefully take her back to her hometown. After the incident, Monalisa and Farman went to Thampanoor police station in the Kerala capital and sought protection. After filing the complaint, his father was called to the police station.
Police told the family that since Monalisa is 18 years old, she has the legal right to decide with whom she wants to live. Monalisa later left the station with her boyfriend, and the couple got married in a temple. Many prominent leaders of Kerala came to support the couple, including Kerala Education Minister V.
