It was a night of contrasting emotions for Chelsea fans, who twice saw their team battle hard to get back into the game against Paris Saint-Germain, only for a late collapse to gift the French side a seemingly insurmountable advantage. With 20 minutes left on the clock, the game was level at 2-2, but as the referee blew for full-time, the scoreboard read 5-2 in PSG's favour.

Back-up goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen was considered at fault for two of the goals, with the Dane cutting a distraught figure at the full-time whistle. So much so, an interaction with Reece James - which has since gone viral - appeared to capture Jorgensen snubbing the Chelsea captain's request.

Social media footage shows James shouting towards Jorgensen and pointing over to the travelling Chelsea fans, as if to say he should go over. However, a downtrodden Jorgensen ignores the Englishman and instead continues to trundle down the tunnel.

Jorgensen was eventually stopped by none other than Robert Sanchez, whom the 23-year-old had replaced in the starting line-up. He did eventually head over to the travelling supporters, but with his tail firmly stuck between his legs.

Speaking after the match, Liam Rosenior defended his decision, saying: "Players make mistakes. Filip's not the first one and that's part of football. Credit to him, he held his hands up in the dressing room.

"I make mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. Sometimes they're more costly. This is one of those moments. What we have to do for Rob and for Filip and for all of the players is look after each other. This is a big test of our character."

James, who Jorgensen had seemingly ignored earlier on, was full of support for the young goalkeeper, saying the team are 'fully behind' him. Speaking to TNT Sports, the versatile player said: "This is football, this is the way we want to play. If you play out from the back, mistakes are going to happen. Everyone in the team understands that. That is how the manager wants us to play. We are fully behind Filip."

Rosenior now has a big decision to make ahead of the weekend, given Chelsea have a crucial match against Newcastle in the hunt for Champions League qualification. Then it's back to the Champions League, where the Blues will be looking to overcome a three-goal defecit against the European champions at Stamford Bridge.
