These shows will finally make an exciting return to the BBC.

The BBC have confirmed the exciting return to six beloved shows. Alongside the emergence of new and acclaimed series, the broadcaster is experiencing a major surge in comebacks of its gripping and high-stakes fan favourites, one of which has been off screens for over a decade.

This marks a major programming overhaul as the BBC is shifting its streaming platform iPlayer to become "a go-to destination, rather than a catch-up service". During a 2024 speech, BBC Director of Drama Lindsay Salt outlined her vision for BBC Drama and stated: "My first priority for drama is currency. That means work that feels alive, that lives in and interrogates the present." With that, followed the recent announcement of major comebacks, which sparked major fan frenzy and is guaranteed to have viewers firmly glued to screens.
