Hyderabad: Kannada film directors Rishab Shetty and Prashanth Neel have been honoured with photo displays at the newly opened Allu Cinemas multiplex built by Telugu star Allu Arjun.
The two directors are widely credited for taking Kannada cinema to a wider national audience. While Prashanth Neel gained pan-India recognition with the blockbuster film KGF, Rishab Shetty attracted attention across languages with the success of Kantara.
Because of their popularity and contribution, the two filmmakers enjoy strong recognition even in other film industries.
At the newly launched Allu Cinemas multiplex, photographs of several prominent directors from different Indian film industries have been displayed on a special “Wall of Frame.” Among them are Telugu directors Sukumar, Trivikram Srinivas, and S. S. Rajamouli, along with Tamil filmmakers Vetrimaaran, Mani Ratnam, and Atlee. The display also includes Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Hindi filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani.
From the Kannada film industry, photographs of Rishab Shetty and Prashanth Neel have been included in the installation.
The Allu Cinemas multiplex was inaugurated on Friday. With this venture, Allu Arjun has expanded his presence in the entertainment sector. The actor already owns an OTT platform and a studio, and the multiplex marks his entry into the cinema exhibition business.
