Kohli takes part in “This or That” challenge
In the video shared by Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Virat Kohli played a simple game called “This or That”.
Kohli had to make his choice after seeing two players. The winner of each round moved on to the next comparison. The game included several famous cricketers from different eras. Early in the challenge, Kohli picked Adam Gilchrist over Sunil Narine.
Later, he was asked to choose between Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. Kohli asked about the T20 comparison before answering. After verifying that it applied to T20 cricket, he picked Virender Sehwag as his choice.
The game continued with several comparisons until it reached the final round.
Kohli chooses Chris Gayle in final round
The last question in the challenge had two big names in T20 cricket: Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma. Kohli asked for information about T20 before making his decision. After receiving the information, Kohli chose the better opener between the two: Chris Gayle.
Many cricket fans were surprised at the decision made in the video. Many had expected Kohli to choose Rohit Sharma because of his performance in T20 cricket for India.
The video went viral within the social media platforms after its publication, leading to discussions among cricket fans.
A comparison between Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma as T20 openers
Chris Gayle is mostly known for his strong batting skills in T20 cricket. He played 59 matches for his team as an opener and scored 1660 runs with an average of 31.32 and a strike rate of 141.76.
