Making changes in its coaching staff, the team has appointed former England wicketkeeper batsman James Foster as its new fielding coach. 45-year-old James Foster will join the CSK team in the 19th season of IPL and will work to improve the team’s fielding. James Foster has a lot of coaching experience

James Foster played for England from 2001 to 2009. During this period he played 7 Tests, 11 ODIs and 5 T20 International matches. After retirement from international cricket, he entered coaching and worked with many teams around the world. He has coached the national teams of England and New Zealand. In the same year, under the coaching of James Foster, Desert Vipers was successful in winning the International League T20 title. Let us tell you that James Foster is currently playing the role of assistant coach of The Hundred League team Birmingham Phoenix. Now he will be seen working with Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026.

A total of 20 matches will be played in the first phase of IPL 2026 from March 28 to April 12. All teams will play approximately 4-4 matches.
