New Delhi:- Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that Bihar is among the leading states in the implementation of this scheme. So far 4.16 crore Ayushman cards have been made in the state. Bihar ranks third in the country in making cards. 1,230 hospitals in the state are associated with this scheme. More than 32 lakh patients have been treated so far. Under this, a treatment expenditure of Rs 4,784 crore has been incurred.


Health Minister organized ‘Ayushman Manthan’ program at Urja Auditorium by Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) in collaboration with Bihar Health Protection Committee.
Were addressing. This program was the concluding session of a series of five workshops organized in different divisions of the state, in which representatives from all the districts of Bihar participated.


Through the workshop, training was given to representatives of 92 percent private empaneled hospitals of the state. Its objective was to establish better coordination between hospitals and the state health agency and strengthen the quality and transparency of services under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.


Around 1,000 participants took part in the programme. These included doctors and directors of government and private hospitals, representatives of medical colleges, civil surgeons and district level health officers. Technical sessions on standard treatment guidelines, quality documentation and anti-fraud measures were conducted during the workshop. Many experts including Operation Director Dr. Alok Ranjan, Healthcare Director Dr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, Administrative Officer Shailesh Chandra Diwakar, Finance Controller Alok Kumar Singh, Dr. Suraj Shankar, Dr. Gurinder Randhawa shared their views.


Emphasis on the need for coordination
Bihar Health Protection Committee Chief Executive Officer Shashank Shekhar Sinha said that strong collaboration between the state health agency and health service providers is essential for the success of the scheme. In the keynote address, Dr. Asmita Gupta, Member Secretary, Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI), said that the series of Ayushman Manthan workshops aims to establish better coordination between the state health agency and health service providers so that the beneficiaries can get more effective health services.


AIIMS, IGIMS, IGIC hospitals honored for better performance
Health Minister Mangal Pandey presented citations to 20 hospitals for providing better medical services under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Patna got the first position, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) got the second position, Indira Gandhi Institute of Heart Diseases (IGIC) got the third position and Loknayak Jayaprakash (LNJP) Bone Hospital got the fourth position. Dr. Sunil Kumar, Director of Indira Gandhi Heart Disease Institute, received the honour.


He said that with the cooperation of the state government, better cardiac care services are being provided to poor patients in the institute. Due to the special support of Nitish Kumar led state government and Health Minister Mangal Pandey, free treatment and operations to heart diseases are being provided to poor patients in the institute. A large number of economically weaker patients are getting benefits from this. At the same time, Deputy Director Dr. Shakti Kishore also received the citation on behalf of LNJP Bone Hospital.
