One of the biggest challenges for new parents of our generation is raising kids alone. No grand-parental oversight, murky decision making due to lack of sleep and information overload have been a perfect recipe for paranoia.
Ever since my now 7-month-old was born, I found myself in a fix. Googling symptoms often pointed to something dreadful and talking to the pediatrician for everything felt stupid. Where AI adds value is it helps me do a quick reference check. An additional source of validation which can be extremely reassuring during such times.
Typically, a pediatrician would review dozens of infants each day. The only way they have the full context of your child is by going through the file they update on each visit. But given the pressure on the healthcare system, you will barely find them flipping pages since birth for diagnosis.
AI flips this. With context memory so vast, it retains earlier conditions, correlates and collaboratively diagnoses. For example, I have been dumping the smallest of details like discharge summary, weight/height during each visit, and any physical changes/patterns observed on ChatGPT.
This does not replace the need for healthcare professionals but buys you time. It is like a second opinion that empowers you to assist your doctor with a sharper diagnosis.
From basics like, “how do I engage my child in this phase of their life”, to “what could typically indicate teething”, ChatGPT has been a companion in being better at parenting each day.

“My baby girl was born on [date]. I want to use this chat to help me with any queries I may have. Any responses must be backed by reputed medical journals like PubMed. Her current weight is 7.8 kg and height is 67 cm at 30 weeks. Is this within a healthy range? Please remember this for future comparisons
My 3-week-old feeds every 2–3 hours and grunts a lot in sleep. Is this normal, or something I should worry about?
My 12-week-old suddenly developed red rashes on her back. I’m uploading a photo. Can you help me understand what this could be?
