It all starts with a small desire, like a new smartphone, an impromptu trip with friends, or a fancy gadget you see on social media. Nowadays 'Buy Now Pay Later' (BNPL) and easy EMI have made it even more dangerous. Financial experts say that 'Silent debt is the debt which accumulates gradually and initially no one pays attention to it.' Small personal loan and credit card installments are made on different platforms, so we do not realize how big a debt we are stuck with.
