Mirzapur, 17 March. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Maa Vindhyavasini temple on Tuesday and offered prayers to the presiding deity of Vindhya region and his family deity Maa Vindhyavasini. He took stock of the preparations for the Chaitra Navratri fair starting from March 19 and gave necessary instructions by holding a review meeting with officials and public representatives.


During this, tight security arrangements were made and the entire temple complex was decorated like a bride with flowers. After becoming the Chief Minister, this was said to be his eighteenth visit to Kuldevi Dham. All preparations were completed before the Chief Minister reached Vindhyadham. During his darshan and worship, darshan for common devotees was temporarily stopped.


The religious rituals of the Chief Minister were performed by local BJP MLA and priest Ratnakar Mishra and his team. The Chief Minister also worshiped the small triangle of Maa Kali and Maa Saraswati situated in the temple premises. During this time, amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras, the entire premises was decorated with flowers and the famous red carpets of Mirzapur were spread. The entire administrative staff was present with the Chief Minister and he was informed about the arrangements by the officials.


Yogi observed the Vindhya Corridor and also gave some suggestions and instructions. While visiting the women empowerment exhibition organized in the temple premises, he also took photographs with the children and encouraged them. After darshan and worship, the Chief Minister held a meeting with officials and public representatives at Ashtabhuja Dak Bungalow and reviewed the preparations for the Navratri fair and saw the blueprint of the preparations. He also observed the model of the corridor construction work being done on the triangle path.


The Chief Minister directed the officials to make the fair area plastic free and work towards making Vindhyachal a model place of the state by keeping the cleanliness and hygiene system of the ghats better. He asked to pay special attention to basic facilities like toilet, drinking water, medicine and cleanliness for the passengers and to ensure additional arrangements in view of the heat.


In the meeting, District Magistrate Pawan Kumar Gangwar and Superintendent of Police Arpana Kaushik presented a detailed outline of the preparations and security arrangements for the fair. After this, the Chief Minister inspected the Maa Vindhyavasini University being built in Deori Kalan village of Madihan area and gave necessary instructions and ordered the executing agency to complete the construction work on time.


Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Shobha Gaur informed him about the progress of the University. Earlier, on the arrival of the Chief Minister, local officials welcomed him by presenting him a bouquet. Minister Ashish Patel, MLA Ramashankar Singh, Vineet Singh, Rinki Kol and BJP District President and other officials also welcomed him at the helipad.
