Bengaluru-based enterprise procurement startup Aerchain has raised $13 million (about Rs 118 crore) in a funding round led by Pavestone VC, with participation from IndiaMART, and other investors.

Founded by Harsha Kadimisetty and Himavanth Jasti, Aerchain has developed an AI-native platform that automates procurement workflows and helps enterprises manage vendor discovery, negotiations, purchasing, and payments through AI agents.

Procurement teams in many enterprises still rely heavily on emails, spreadsheets, and workarounds around enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, which keeps them in reactive operational roles rather than strategic decision-making, the company said in a statement.

“The future of procurement is a system that thinks for you, acts on your behalf, and comes to you only when it needs a decision,” said Kadimisetty, who’s also the firm’s CEO. “We’re building procurement agents that run 24/7, proactively finding savings, flagging risks, and executing on opportunities before anyone has to ask.”

Aerchain’s platform is designed to automate a chunk of procurement tasks such as intake routing, policy enforcement, approval workflows, and vendor sourcing. The company said the system can reduce task completion times from days to hours.

For more complex tasks such as negotiations and commercial evaluations, the platform deploys AI agents that analyse data, prepare benchmarks, and generate negotiation playbooks to assist procurement teams.

The platform also includes a spend intelligence module that analyses enterprise spending patterns along with external market data such as commodity price movements and contract expirations, enabling companies to identify savings opportunities and vendor consolidation strategies.

“AI is the capability, but the real unlock is what it enables: procurement teams that spend their time on strategy instead of administration,” said Himavanth Jasti, CTO.

V Laxmikanth, managing partner, Pavestone VC, said the firm sees Aerchain as a platform re-architecting enterprise procurement using an AI-first approach. “Its strong adoption, scalable model, and clear product leadership position it well for sustained value creation in a large and under-digitised market,” he said.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand globally and improve its AI capabilities.
