Many fire tenders arrived here on Wednesday (March 18) morning to extinguish the massive fire that broke out in a house. The entire house was gutted and 7 people present in it were burnt to death. This accident happened after a blast in the charging point of electric vehicle (EV).

Indore Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh said, “According to the initial investigation, an electric vehicle was being charged outside the house and an explosion occurred at the charging point. After this, the fire spread from the vehicle to the house. More than 10 gas tanks were also kept inside the house, some of which exploded. 7 people have died in this incident. Three people have been rescued. This house belonged to Manoj Puglia, who ran a polymer business. Some of the gas tanks in the house were Inflammable chemicals were also kept.”

The matter is of Preeti Nagar near Chhota Rajwada of Tilak police station area of ​​Indore. 7 people including landlord Manoj Puglia have died in this accident. The Police Commissioner is present at the spot since late night. Top officials including the Collector are trying to handle the situation on the spot. More than five fire brigade vehicles are engaged in rescue operations at the spot. Rescue of SDERF teams is also going on.

The Police Commissioner informed that the accident occurred around 4.00 am on Wednesday, March 18. Fire tenders were called to the spot and rescue operations were started. By the time the team reached, the fire had spread badly. The reason for this is that an electric vehicle was being charged outside, the fire from the blast there had reached towards the house. There were electronic locks installed in the house. Electronic locks may not be able to be opened after a power cut. There will be a provision of such locks in the bedrooms etc. of the house, due to which the house would be locked.

Police said that a large number of gas tanks were stored inside the house. It is estimated that there were more than 10 gas tanks here. There has also been an explosion. Between 4.00 and 4.30 in the morning, two-three blasts took place in front of the police team. The situation was quite frightening. An attempt was made to enter this house from the top floor of the adjacent houses. The smoke kept increasing continuously, but the fire team tried its best to take the people out.

The three people evacuated earlier were rescued. Later, 6 people who were rescued lost their lives. It appears that the rest of the people were trapped in other parts of the room’s house. It took a lot of effort for the rescue team to break through the cracks and reach there. The fire was very scary.
