Post Office Fast Service: Indian Postal Department is busy in making its service even better and superfast. Nowadays people rely more on private couriers for quick delivery, to counter this the Post Office has now started a new premium delivery service. With the help of this special service, your important documents and parcels will reach the right address in a very short time, due to which customers will no longer feel the lack of private courier.

These three new services have been started

• 4-speed post


• 24-speed parcel post and


• 48-speed post.

What is the main objective of these services?

This new initiative has been launched by Union Minister of Communications and Rural Development Jyotiraditya Scindia on 17 March 2026. The main objective of these new services is to get the goods delivered to the customers’ homes within a short period of time without any delay.

Money will be refunded if parcel is delayed

To further improve its service, the post office has started ’24-speed post’ and ’48-speed post’ services. Under this, the target is to deliver parcels and important documents within 24 and 48 hours. If delivery is not made within the stipulated time, customers can get full money back. This effort of the postal department will ensure timely delivery and will also increase people’s confidence.

Service started in these cities

Let us tell you that this new facility has been started from some selected and big cities of the country. These include metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The Postal Department has clarified that in the coming time this facility will also be implemented in other cities and small towns of the country.

• Apart from this, the department has included many special features to make the new service safe and easy.


• Whenever any item is delivered to you, an OTP will be sent to your mobile number, so that the item reaches the right person instead of going to someone else.


• Along with this, customers have also been provided the facility of SMS alerts, online tracking and real time updates.


• With the help of these facilities, customers will be able to easily view the information about their parcel.
