Growing trend of spiritual tourism


Nowadays traveling has become a priority for people. In addition to mountains and beaches, spiritual tourism is becoming increasingly popular. People are strengthening their faith by visiting religious places. There are about 4.5 lakh historical and religious places in India. Every year, crores of devotees visit the holy cities like Ayodhya, Kashi, Rishikesh, Amritsar and Tirupati. IRCTC has introduced a special tour package called ‘Shri Ramayana Yatra’, in which important places to the life of Lord Ram will be visited.

– In this tour package, you will get an opportunity to travel in ‘Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC’ train.


– As per the convenience of passengers, First (1AC), Second (2AC) and Third (3AC) AC coaches are available.


The train has a modern kitchen and two luxurious restaurants. Foot massager, shower cubicle and hi-tech washroom facilities will also be available for comfort during the journey.


– CCTV cameras and security guards will be deployed in every coach for the safety of passengers.



Travel route from Delhi to Nepal and Rameshwaram


Ayodhya and nearby places: The journey will start from Ayodhya, the city of Ramlala, where Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanuman Garhi and Ram ki Paidi will be visited. After this, the pilgrims will go to Nandigram and see Bharat-Hanuman Temple and Bharat Kund.



Visit Nepal: After reaching Sitamarhi in Bihar, the passengers will be taken to Janakpur in Nepal by road. Here there will be a visit to Mother Sita’s birthplace (Janaki Temple), Dhanush Dham Temple and Parshuram Kund.


Major ghats and temples of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar: During this journey, Ram Rekha Ghat and Rameshwar Nath Temple will be visited in Buxar. After this, Kashi Vishwanath, grand Ganga Aarti, Tulsi Manas Temple and Sankat Mochan Temple will be seen in Varanasi. Prayagraj also includes a visit to Triveni Sangam and Bhardwaj Ashram. Prominent places like Sita Samhit Sthal in Sitamarhi in Uttar Pradesh, Sati Anusuiya Temple in Shringverpur and Chitrakoot, Ram Ghat and Gupt Godavari will also be a part of this tour.


Departure to the south: After North India, the train will go to Nashik (Panchavati and Trimbakeshwar) in Maharashtra. After this, via Hampi (Vitthal Temple, Anjanadri Hill) in Karnataka, the journey will reach Rameshwaram (Ramanathaswamy Temple and Dhanushkodi) in Tamil Nadu.
