The eatery is set to close sometime next month, founder Tony Young said in an Instagram post last week.
“We are affected by The Centrepoint’s redevelopment plans and our lease has been pre-terminated in the process,” the post read.
“To all of you who have supported us all these years, we are truly thankful.”
However, the closure might not be permanent, as the eatery hinted at possible future plans in response to comments under the post, writing: “Look out for another reel soon!”

Last month, the mall’s rear block was bought by Frasers Property, a developer controlled by Thai billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, through a collective sale tender.
The purchase could pave the way for the future redevelopment of the mall into a mixed-use project that may include residential units, serviced apartments and retail space, according to Vijay Natarajan, an analyst at RHB Singapore.
“Likely the entire complex will be redeveloped taking advantage of (government) incentives,” he said, as quoted by Forbes.
Misato first opened in 2015 at another mall in the city-state before relocating to The Centrepoint in 2017.
The restaurant’s best-known dishes include A5 Ohmi Wagyu Hoba Miso Yaki, Misato Ebi Donburi, and Miso Cod Onitsuke Castle Set, respectively Mothership.
Another Japanese dining brand, Itacho Sushi, has also recently closed all four of its outlets in Singapore after operating in the market for years, Channel News Asia reported.
These closures come amid a broader trend in Singapore’s food scene, which saw around 2,431 F&B outlets shut down in the first 10 months of 2025, including several Michelin-starred restaurants and long-established heritage eateries, according to The Business Times.
