New Delhi: Meta is making a bold move to win back creators by offering direct payments and increased visibility on Facebook. The new programme by the company is called Creator Fast Track, which targets influencers that already have a significant audience on such platforms as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. The plan also shows the increasing urgency of Meta to build a stronger creator ecosystem on Facebook in the face of high competition.

The programme will eliminate the hurdles that creators have to go through when moving platforms. Meta believes that by providing guaranteed income and distribution services, it can make Facebook a serious destination among content creators who have a history of focusing on short-video platforms.

Creator Fast Track: Payments and eligibility

The programme creators with a following of 100,000 will be paid up to $1,000 per month, whereas those with over one million followers can earn a maximum of $3,000 per month. These are payments guaranteed within the first three months. Following this, creators will be able to make further income with the help of monetisation tools of Facebook which already exist.

The creators must include 15 Reels in 30 days, with at least 10 days spread out. The content should be original; however, it need not be unique on the Facebook side. The created content that is made using AI is also allowed, provided that it is owned by the creator.

Meta’s bigger push for creator economy

This is not the first step that Meta has undertaken to acquire and retain creators. According to the company, it paid close to $3 billion to creators in 2025, and this is a 35 per cent jump compared to last year. A significant share of that income was earned through Reels, which underscores the fact that the platform specialises in short-form video.

With more than 3 billion users, Facebook has been failing to compete with TikTok and YouTube in terms of creator engagement. A number of influencers have complained about the inconsistent earnings and reach on the site.

New monetisation features and long-term strategy

Meta is enhancing its content monetisation program in order to address these concerns. New tools will provide creators with more insight into which content generates earnings, approximate payout rates and why some content might not be eligible to be monetised.

The company is also gambling on long-term rewards other than immediate deals. Such options as subscriptions, tipping, brand deals, and revenue based on the engagement are likely to offer long-term revenue prospects. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has previously said he wants to bring back the ‘OG Facebook’ experience, focusing on personal connections while rebuilding a strong creator community.

Making such a push, Meta is indicating that it is time to make Facebook an indispensable platform to creators again.
