What Sanju Samson Said About Dhoni
Samson shared his thoughts on spending more time with his former Indian teammate and stated that it's one of the reasons that excites him most about his move to CSK.
Samson told PTI:
"I've spoken to Mahi bhai a lot and have seen him on and off in the Indian team, but this will be the first time we'll spend two months together, so there's a lot of excitement."
Samson added:
"Whenever he calls or speaks to me, there's always a positive influence. But being with him in the same team for two months will definitely have its benefits, and just thinking about it makes me happy. Watching and learning from the way he approaches the game is something I see as a great opportunity."
Clearly, Samson is in awe of Mahi and can't wait to learn from the legendary India captain in the longer format of the IPL.
Chennai Super Kings fans might not have to wait long to see the duo combine. Chennai Super Kings will take on Rajasthan Royals on March 30 in Guwahati in what is bound to be a fascinating opening game with Samson facing his old franchise.
