President Murmu met with Premanand Maharaj: President Draupadi Murmu is currently on a three-day visit to the Braj region of Uttar Pradesh. His main focus in this tour running from March 19 to 21 is visiting religious places and meeting saints. On the second day of the visit, the President reached Vrindavan, where she met Sant Premanand Maharaj.
On reaching Radha Kelly Kunj Ashram, Premanand Maharaj welcomed him by saying ‘Radhe-Radhe’. During this, the disciples wore dupatta and garland and presented prasad to the President. The special thing was that the President’s family was also present with him on this occasion. In this meeting which lasted for about 27 minutes, topics like spirituality, service and public welfare were discussed between the two. During this, Premanand Maharaj stressed on the importance of chanting the name and said that this is the easiest path to salvation of human life.
Tight security arrangements have been made throughout Vrindavan regarding the President’s visit. Police forces are deployed at major places and the administration seems to be fully alert. The special thing is that a special team has been deployed here to protect against monkeys, because tourists often face problems due to monkeys in Vrindavan. During this Braj tour, the President will worship at Prem Mandir and ISKCON, along with circumambulation of Girraj ji and inauguration of cancer block at Ramakrishna Mission are also included in his programme.
Let us tell you that this is the second visit of President Murmu to Vrindavan. Earlier she had come here on 25 September 2025, when she had worshiped at Nidhivan and Banke Bihari temples, and also visited Shri Krishna’s birthplace in Mathura.
