The government has started ‘Pipeline Scheme’ for crores of farmer brothers of the country. This scheme is run by the state governments through the Agriculture Department. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given subsidy on purchasing pipes for irrigation in their fields. This reduces water consumption and more area can be irrigated even with less water availability.
