Government Schemes For Farmers: The Government of India is running many government schemes for farmers, one of which is ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana’. Under this scheme, a total financial assistance of Rs 6 thousand is given to eligible farmers every year. The government deposits this amount in the accounts of farmers in three equal installments. PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PM-KMY)

Under this scheme, farmers have to deposit a monthly premium ranging from Rs 55 to Rs 200 according to their age. When an eligible farmer completes 60 years of age, the government gives him Rs 3,000 per month as pension, so that he does not face any problems in old age and his financial condition remains strong.

PM Kusum Scheme (PM-KUSUM)

PM Kusum Yojana has also been initiated by the Central Government. The full name of this scheme is ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Energy Security and Upliftment Mahabhiyan’. The aim of this initiative started by the government is to make farmers self-reliant and strong in the energy sector. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given subsidy by the government to install solar pumps. Through this, farmers can irrigate their crops in a better way, which will increase the yield.

pipeline plan

The government has started ‘Pipeline Scheme’ for crores of farmer brothers of the country. This scheme is run by the state governments through the Agriculture Department. Under this scheme, eligible farmers are given subsidy on purchasing pipes for irrigation in their fields. This reduces water consumption and more area can be irrigated even with less water availability.
