To prevent this, FSSAI is strictly asking food processing companies to follow the rules. FSSAI has started strict implementation from 2020 especially on making the food consumed by children balanced. A ban has been imposed on the sale of junk food containing saturated fat, added fat, sugar and sodium at a distance of 50 meters around children’s schools.
