New Delhi: Former Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and Mohammad Kaif took to their social media handles on Saturday to extend their wishes on the occasion of Eid. Eid al-Fitr is being celebrated across India and other parts of the world on March 21, marking the end of Ramazan.


Ramazan is the Islamic holy month of fasting which is considered to be one of the five pillars of the religion. On this occasion, people meet and greet their near and dear ones, exchange gifts spreading the message of happiness and peace all around the world. The Indian cricket fraternity took a step ahead like always to wish all the people a happy Eid.


Led by Master Blaster Tendulkar, Laxman and Kaif also posted wishes on their social media X handles. Tendulkar wrote on X, ‘Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating. May the spirit of faith, compassion, and generosity guide us all!’

Earlier in the day, people from different spheres of life extended their wishes on the auspicious festival which is being celebrated with great fervour nationwide. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the nation Eid Mubarak. He hoped that everyone should be happy and healthy, spreading the message of brotherhood.
