ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - LeBron James achieved a historic milestone by playing in his 1,612th regular-season game, setting a new NBA record.

The Los Angeles Lakers secured a thrilling 105-104 comeback victory against the Orlando Magic on Saturday night, with Luke Kennard hitting a decisive 3-pointer just 0.6 seconds before the final buzzer.

In addition to James' record-breaking performance, Luka Doncic contributed 33 points for the Lakers, marking their ninth consecutive win. However, Doncic faced potential suspension after receiving his 16th technical foul during the game, pending review by the league.

James Breaks Long-Standing Record

On a night of significant achievement, James recorded 12 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. He surpassed the previous record held by Robert Parish for nearly three decades, further solidifying his legacy in the league.

Kennard's Winning Shot

Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 16 points and made a crucial defensive play by blocking a shot from James in the closing moments. Following a review, it was confirmed that the ball did not touch James, allowing the Lakers to retain possession. This led to Marcus Smart assisting Kennard for the game-winning shot.

Game Summary

Austin Reaves also played a pivotal role for the Lakers, scoring 26 points. James helped the team take an eight-point lead in the third quarter, but the Magic rallied to lead by five points entering the final minute. This loss marked the Magic's fourth consecutive defeat.

Upcoming Matches

The Lakers are set to face the Detroit Pistons on Monday, while the Magic will host the Indiana Pacers the same day.
