Sophia Culpo is stepping back into the dating scene with a playful spirit. The influencer and model recently addressed swirling rumors about rekindling things with ex-boyfriend Braxton Berrios, her former partner from a two-year romance that ended in 2023. She set the record straight while hinting at new romantic possibilities during a glamorous event.

Playful debunking of NYC reunion talk

Culpo shut down speculation sparked by a viral DeuxMoi post claiming she was spotted in New York City with Berrios, shortly after his split from influencer Alix Earle. In a cheeky TikTok video on March 11, she humorously debunked it by filming herself at her computer, peering out at palm trees. "Me logging onto internet to figure out what city I'm in today," she said, captioning it, "If y'all sees me another city please let me know so I can pack." The clip confirmed she was nowhere near NYC's skyscrapers.

Speaking exclusively to E! News at the March Clarins THE NIGHT EXTRA' event celebrating the new Extrairming Moisturizer, Culpo reflected on posting that playful video. "I was just feeling playful and thought, 'This is amusing. Let’s see how it unfolds,'" she shared. "And thankfully, it was well-received." Her lighthearted approach turned potential drama into fun social media gold.

Heading back into romance

Now single after Berrios' high-profile breakup with Earle, Culpo revealed she's dipping her toes back into romance. "I’ve just begun dating again. I was solid off, I think I might have a crush. I’m not sure," she admitted coyly. The timing aligns with fresh DeuxMoi buzz suggesting she was seen with a Houston Texans wide receiver, fueling curiosity about her mystery interest. At 29, Culpo seems excited yet cautious about this new chapter.

Known for 'Perfect Match'

Beyond her influencer fame, Sophia Culpo has made her mark in entertainment. She appeared on the reality dating series Perfect Match, where her charisma shone amid romantic challenges. Her sister Olivia Culpo's spotlight from Miss Universe has also boosted Sophia's visibility in pop culture circles.

Moving forward

Berrios and Earle's nearly two-year relationship ended amicably amid public scrutiny. Earle addressed fans' questions during her Dancing with the Stars stint, noting his absence was due to football duties. "It feels like we are on two different paths right now, and it's unfortunate," she explained in a December 13 TikTok. "We're on good terms, and I don’t want anyone to be harsh towards him or imply it’s due to him missing out on Dancing with the Stars. He couldn’t attend because of football commitments." She added, "It's not drama. It’s not about him doing something wrong or me doing something wrong. It just didn’t seem to be working out at that moment."

Culpo and Berrios' 2023 split was messy, with cheating rumors swirling when he began seeing Earle. Berrios denied overlap, stating on Instagram, "I genuinely want all of this to be over and for everyone to move on and pursue what makes them happy." He described their bond as "a good relationship. It was a healthy one. Towards the end, we had conversations indicating we just weren’t compatible. It had nothing to do with anyone else; we simply didn't work out, and that’s acceptable." Culpo later hinted at trust issues in deleted posts.

Post-breakup, she briefly dated comedian Michael Stevens in late 2023, but now appears focused on fresh connections. Her confident vibe signals she's prioritizing joy over past drama.
