Prime Video subscribers can now finally watch one of Amazon MGM Studios’ most recently released sci-fi action movies. During its theatrical run, the Chris Pratt-led film earned a gross of over $54 million at the global box office against its reported budget of around $60 million.
Beginning today, Pratt’s latest sci-fi action film, Mercy, is now officially available to stream on Prime Video. The cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Annabelle Wallis, Kali Reis, Rafi Gavron, Chris Sullivan, Kenneth Choi, and Kylie Rogers. Despite receiving negative reviews from critics, the movie was still received well by the general audience, as it currently holds a Popcornmeter score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes.
“In the near future, a detective stands on trial accused of murdering his wife. He has 90 minutes to prove his innocence to the advanced A.I. Judge he once championed, before it determines his fate,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.
Mercy was directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) from a screenplay written by Marco van Belle. This marked the latest collaboration between Pratt and the filmmaker after previously working together in 2008’s action thriller Wanted. The PG-13 movie was produced by Bekmambetov, Charles Roven, Robert Amidon, and Majd Nassif, with Mark Moran and Todd Williams serving as executive producers.
Pratt was most recently seen in The Russo Brothers’ latest Netflix movie, The Electric State, and in the Prime Video spin-off series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. He will once again return as the voice of Mario in the highly anticipated animated sequel, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which will premiere on April 3, 2026.
