Meghan Markle has made a telling move ahead of her visit to Australia in a matter of weeks. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who will be visiting Australia together in April, are returning to the country for business, charitable and leisure purposes.
This seems especially the case for Meghan, who has reportedly trademarked her As Ever lifestyle products in Australia. This suggests that the duchess, 44, could be using the trip as a chance to enter a new market with her lifestyle brand.
If this is the case, it comes just weeks after Netflix ended its partnership with As Ever, which launched last year.
As reported by The Times, records registered with the Australian government's intellectual property office show that Meghan has trademarked the brand across a range of categories.
This reportedly includes cosmetics, fragrances, food seasonings and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
The registered documents show that the trademark was approved last year when Harry and Meghan's trip to Australia was still in the planning stage.
It is not known what Meghan's plans for As Ever in Australia are.
However, it is believed the duchess is setting her sights on turning her brand global.
It was recently reported that As Ever had seen steady growth within the past few months, especially as new products have been launched successfully.
It has been reported that along with a potential expansion in Australia, Meghan could also sell her products in New Zealand.
She may also consider selling products in the UK, her husband Prince Harry's home country.
