In honor of Shaheedi Diwas, Nurpur hosted a remarkable blood donation drive organized by the Nurpur Blood Donors Club at Rana Farm, Baudh. The event saw an impressive turnout of 421 volunteers who donated blood to pay homage to martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev.

The camp was inaugurated by SDM Arun Sharma and featured the mother of martyred commando Jatin Dhiman as the chief guest. Floral tributes were paid to the martyrs' portraits, creating a deeply patriotic atmosphere filled with collective reverence.

Starting at 10 AM, enthusiastic youth formed long lines to donate blood, with 21 women participating, highlighting a strong message of social responsibility and inclusivity.

To cater to the donors, various stalls provided refreshments such as fruits, juice, coffee, water, and jalebi, alongside a well-organized meal service. Every aspect of the camp was meticulously planned, showcasing exemplary community service.

SDM Arun Sharma commended the Nurpur Blood Donors Club for their efforts, noting that the turnout reflects a growing public awareness and dedication to humanitarian principles. Club President Rajeev Pathania remarked that donating blood is one of the noblest acts, as it directly saves lives, encouraging all healthy individuals to embrace regular blood donation as a personal duty.

This marked the 43rd blood donation camp organized by the club since its establishment in December 2015, with over 10,500 units of blood collected to date, a testament to the commitment of Nurpur's youth.

Medical teams from Tanda Medical College and Civil Hospital Pathankot successfully collected 161 and 260 units of blood, respectively. In his closing remarks, Rajeev Pathania expressed gratitude to all donors and supporters, reaffirming the club's dedication to ongoing service initiatives.

This blood donation camp was more than just an event; it stood as a powerful symbol of social consciousness, unity, and the spirit of sacrifice, demonstrating that collective efforts for a noble cause can lead to remarkable achievements.
