Both received strong reactions from the crowd, with Mazzulla drawing an even louder response. The night added another chapter to Boston’s ongoing spotlight, with the team looking to secure another title win after its 2024 championship run.

Triple H personally handed over the custom belt in a lighthearted exchange. "I've got a little gift for you," he said while presenting the item. Mazzulla, smiling, replied, "Give it to me," before adding, "Thank you very much." The two later posed for photos.
The appearance also featured crossover energy inside the arena. Derrick White received a warm ovation when shown on screen, though Mazzulla’s reaction was remarkable. WWE stars Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were also present at a recent Celtics game.
Boston continues to hold a strong position in the Eastern Conference standings, with the roster maintaining consistency through the season.
Ex-Celtics legend Robert Parish hails Joe Mazzulla
Hall of Famer Robert Parish offered strong praise for Mazzulla, even without a personal meeting. After learning about the coach’s interest in martial arts, Parish linked it to his on-court demeanor. “That explains why he don’t take no [expletive],” Parish said. “One thing the arts teaches you is that you can walk away. It teaches you to try to walk away first because you have the confidence to handle yourself in the skills, that you can take care of yourself.
“That would explain that tough persona that he gives off, because when you know that, most people, you can kick their butts, you get a certain arrogance about you and confidence. I’m speaking from experience.”
Parish also pointed to the team’s identity under Mazzulla. “And I think that’s one of the main reasons they are successful, other than taking on the coach’s personality,” Parish said. “Because he don’t take no crap and these Celtics don’t take no crap, so I like that about them.”
Reflecting on Mazzulla’s leadership, he added, “I’ve never met the man,” Parish said of Mazzulla. “I’ve just been watching from afar and the vibe that he’s giving off, seeing him on TV and watching him when I’ve been in the building, watching him from afar, no he’s serious and I like that. It kind of reminds me of Bill Fitch. That tough love. I like that.”
He also highlighted the importance of team culture. “Obviously he has people skills because if he didn’t have people skills I don’t think his players would buy into his philosophy, his concept of what they have,” Parish said.
