The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Scientific Officer. The official notification regarding this recruitment was recently released. According to the notification, recruitment is to be conducted for 81 vacancies for the position of Scientific Officer. These vacancies include posts for Scientific Officer (Biology), Scientific Officer (Physics), and Scientific Officer (Chemistry). Candidates interested in applying may do so through the online mode.

When Does the Application Process Begin?
The application process for the posts announced by the MPPSC will commence on April 21 and will continue until May 20. Eligible and interested candidates are advised to fill out the application form within this period. The application form can be submitted by visiting the official website. The link to apply will become active on April 21.


While applying, candidates are required to pay the prescribed application fee online, based on their respective categories. The fee is ₹500 for General/Unreserved candidates and candidates from outside the state, while it is ₹250 for domicile residents of Madhya Pradesh belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC—Non-Creamy Layer), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Persons with Disabilities.


What is the Selection Process?
Eligible candidates will be selected based on a written examination, an interview, and document verification. Upon selection, the monthly salary for the chosen candidates will range between ₹15,600 and ₹39,100. Additionally, selected candidates will be entitled to various other benefits and allowances.


When Will the Written Examination Be Held?
The written examination is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on November 22.


For candidates filling out the application form, the minimum age limit has been set at 21 years, and the maximum age limit at 40 years; age will be calculated as of January 1. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
