New Delhi. The Central Government has changed the rules for train ticket cancellation. If you cancel the ticket 8 hours before the departure of the train, no refund will be given. If you cancel between 8 to 24 hours, there will be a 50 percent deduction, while if you cancel between 24 to 72 hours, there will be a 25 percent deduction. If canceled before 72 hours, normal refund will be given as per the old rules. Apart from this, now offline tickets can be canceled from anywhere, earlier this facility was available only at the terminating station. Also, you can update your journey details up to 30 minutes before the train departs. All these changes will take place between April 1 and 15.
