As the northern hemisphere continues its journey into the warmer spring and summer months, many are eagerly anticipating their European holidays.

Benidormis one destination particularly favoured by British holidaymakers. However, while some Brits are excited about touching down in the popular city, those who reside there have a different perspective.

One such resident is Lucy Young, who lives in Benidorm and shares insights about her life and the city on her YouTubechannel, Benidorm Stuff.

In a recent video, she discussed the significant seasonal and cultural changes in Benidorm as it transitions from the end of March and Easterinto April.

This follows her earlier warnings this year that March would also be bustling due to St Patrick’s Day and the Cheltenham Festival, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Lucy noted that while Benidorm is filled with parades and other festivities during Easter, things start to ramp up in April when the stag and hen parties kick off in earnest.

She elaborated: "Easter winds down, be warned, because all hell will break loose around Benidorm again as stag and hen season comes into play. Mid-April stags and hens are in full force in Benidorm."

However, if you find yourself in Benidorm during this period and wish to steer clear of the stag and hen frenzy, Lucy suggested it is possible to do so by avoiding the Levante side of the city.

Benidorm’s unique features include its Levante and Poniente sides. The Levante side is more party-focused, while Poniente offers a slightly calmer atmosphere.

Discussing the preferred locations of stag and hen parties, Lucy shared: "They do tend to stick more to the Levante side, so you can still escape if you want around the quiet parts."

However, Benidorm offers much more than just stag and hen parties. Lucy, a resident of Benidorm for over two decades, also spoke earlier in the video about the area's atmosphere during Easter.

She stated: "Easter time in Benidorm is a very different vibe. It's less about boozing in the bars and it's more about enjoying the sunshine, enjoying the outdoor lifestyle, the beaches.

"The restaurants will fill up rather than the party bars. And the Poniente side, which is less well known but actually a bigger part of Benidorm, will boom.

"Not forgetting that Easter is obviously a religious holiday, and there will be lots of ceremonies centred around the Old Town church. Also, a lot of processions and parades going all the way around the Old Town."
