Bayern Munich remain ‘calm’ over the future of reported Liverpool targetMichael Olise, Max Eberl has said. The Frenchman has been linked with a move to Anfield in the past, while Real Madrid have been touted as admirers.

Olise could potentially be drafted in at Liverpool as a potential replacement for Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, who is due to leave the club at the end of the season. And while Bayernchief Eberl has admitted that there could be interest in the wideman, he remains unconvinced over a potential exit.

Speaking to SportBILD, Eberl said: “It doesn’t matter which club is interested in him: anyone who plays for FC Bayern knows what they have here. Michael has a contract with us until 2029, with no release clause; we’re calm.”

Olise, 24, has been with Bayern since a 2024 move from Crystal Palace. The German side paid around £50m for his signature and Olise has gone on to score 36 goals and provide a further 50 assists in just 94 appearances in all competitions.

He has also scored four goals in 13 appearances for the French national team. Meanwhile, current Liverpool star Mohamed Salah also has a major decision to make over his future, having confirmed he will leave Anfield at the end of the season.

Announcing his exit, Salah said: “Hello everyone. Unfortunately, the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell: I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.

"I wanted to start by saying that I never imagined how deeply this club, this city, these people, would become part of my life. Liverpool, it's not a just a football club. It's a passion. It's a history. It's a spirit. I can't explain in words to anyone not part of this club.

"We celebrated victory. We won the most important trophies. And we fought together through the hardest time in our life.

"I want to thank everyone who was part of this club throughout my time here, especially the team-mates, past and present. And to the fans: I don't have enough words. The support you showed me through the best time of my career and you stood by me in the toughest times. It's something I will never forget, and something I will take with me always.

"Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best time of my life. I always be one of you. This club will always be my home, to me and to my family. Thank you for everything. Because of all of you, I will never walk alone."
