According Markthe 15-year-old participated in his first training sessions with Real Madrid’s Cadete A team earlier this week. Cadete A are the highest-level youth team within the U16 age group at Real Madrid academy La Fábrica. This squad bring together the academy’s most promising young talents before they transition to higher tiers like the Juvenil (U17 to U19).

Ronaldo’s eldest son was tested as a winger. He is expected to continue training with the team in the coming days.

According to ESPNthis trial process is still in the early stages and it’s too soon to confirm whether these training sessions will result in an official contract with the academy. Other sources indicated that while a move in the future is possible, the club’s coaching staff acknowledged that professional reports about Cristiano Jr. aren’t entirely positive.

If he can join the academy, Cristiano Jr. would have the option to reside in the dormitories at Real Madrid’s training facility. The young athlete will celebrate his 16th birthday in June, making him eligible to compete at a higher youth level.

Cristiano Jr. was born via surrogacy in San Diego, California, in 2010. He demonstrated his talent at a very young age, scoring 58 goals and providing 18 assists in 28 games for the U9 Juventus team.

As he has traveled alongside his father’s career, Cristiano Jr. has also spent time at the youth academies of Manchester United and most recently, Saudi club Al Nassr.

An official move to La Fábrica would mean the teenager is closely mirroring the journey of his famous father, who spent the peak years of his legendary career dominating European football at Real Madrid.

On the international stage, Cristiano Jr. was eligible to represent five different national teams but ultimately chose to play for Portugal.

In October 2025, he earned a call-up to the Portugal U16 national squad, marking another step forward in his football development.
