Jewar Airport: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh. This will be the second major international airport of Delhi-NCR, which will play an important role in reducing the ever increasing burden on Indira Gandhi International Airport. On this historic occasion, PM Modi inspected the terminal building and addressed the public meeting and gave the message of the flight of development of New India.
At around 11:30 in the morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspected the terminal building of the airport. The formal inauguration took place at around 12:20, after which he addressed the public meeting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his address by greeting all the distinguished guests and attendees. He mentioned the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Union Ministers and other public representatives and appreciated the enthusiasm of the people present in the program, especially the youth. He said that today is a very special day, because this airport is not only an infrastructure project but also a symbol of the flight into the future of New India. The Prime Minister said that he had the opportunity to lay the foundation stone of this airport and today he had the privilege of inaugurating it too.
Uttar Pradesh has now joined those states of the country where many international airports are present. He said that Noida International Airport will bring huge economic and development opportunities for many cities of western Uttar Pradesh – like Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Etawah and Bulandshahr. He further said that this airport will create new opportunities for farmers, small and micro industries and youth. Not only will planes fly from here, but it will also become a symbol of the flight of developed Uttar Pradesh and developed India.
Yogi Adityanath said that earlier Uttar Pradesh was seen as an obstacle to development, but now due to the “double engine government” the state has gained rapid pace of development and has created a new identity. Yogi Adityanath said that the foundation stone of this airport was laid on 25 November 2021 and now its first phase is being inaugurated. He said that it is the result of “double engine speed” that this project got off the ground so fast. He expressed confidence that this airport will not only increase connectivity but will also create new opportunities for employment, investment and development. Yogi Adityanath started his address with slogans of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and described the inauguration of Noida International Airport as historic. He said that under the guidance and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is seeing a new India. He said that this is an opportunity to express gratitude and gratitude towards the Prime Minister, because under his leadership the 25 crore people of Uttar Pradesh have got a big gift. Yogi Adityanath said that the flight to Uttar Pradesh through Jewar Airport will reach a new height. He said that the current situation in the country and the world is challenging, where there is an atmosphere of chaos and instability in many places and the prices of petroleum products are continuously increasing. But in India, the situation is under control due to the visionary policies of Prime Minister Modi. Yogi Adityanath said that the development action plan made in the last 11-12 years with the spirit of “Country First” is clearly visible in the country today. He said that the supply of petroleum products in India remains smooth and efforts have been made to keep the prices balanced. He also said that today India is continuously moving towards development due to a strong and stable leadership and such big infrastructure projects will further accelerate the progress of the country.
Statement of Civil Aviation Minister: Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu said that Jewar Airport will not be just an airport, but will be a confluence of development and heritage under the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that this project will not be limited to air services only, but it will be developed as an aerotropolis. He said that a state-of-the-art facility for air cargo is being built here, so that the products made and grown in this area will be able to reach every corner of the country and the world. Along with this, the facilities being developed in about 40 acres will provide high-skilled jobs to the youth and the aviation sector will get an opportunity to become self-reliant. Ram Mohan Naidu said that earlier people from Jewar and surrounding areas used to go to Delhi for employment, but now the situation will change. Now people from all over the country and the world will come to Jewar for work. He said that the opening of the airport will create new opportunities in many sectors like ground handling, maintenance, security, real estate, hotel, transport, tourism, logistics and agriculture. He also said that there was a time when air travel was limited only to special people, but today it has become the travel of the common man. The credit for this goes to the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and the UDAN scheme. The government has decided to further strengthen this scheme for the next 10 years, which will further boost the aviation sector in the country.
Major features of the airport: If we talk about the specialty of this airport, an investment of about Rs 11,200 crore has been made in the first phase. A modern terminal spread over 1,38,000 square meters has been built here. Apart from this, an air traffic control tower about 38 meters high has also been built. The airport has been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, so that passengers can get a better experience.
