The foundation stone laying ceremony of 100 development works worth Rs 3 crore 94 lakh 40 thousand, recommended/approved by Hardeep Singh Puri, MP Rajya Sabha/Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India from the funds of MP Local Area Development Scheme in Sonbhadra district, was held in the Collectorate meeting hall through virtual medium. The Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister said in his message that he has a deep relationship with Sonbhadra district and this district seems like his home. He said that today is a very happy day for him and it is a very important day from the point of view of the development of Sonbhadra district.

The Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister said that the foundation stone of 64 works laid today will give a new impetus to the development of the district and will contribute in making the lives of the people of the district more pleasant and convenient. He said that despite Sonbhadra district being an aspirational district, it is continuously contributing in realizing the Prime Minister’s resolve of a developed India.

He also praised the performance of the district in the ranking of NITI Aayog with the cooperation of officials and public. On this occasion, District Magistrate Sonbhadra Badrinath Singh informed that a total of 100 development projects have been approved by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister under the MP Fund, which mainly include 31 public solar drinking water plants, 34 solar high mast lights, 20 electric high mast lights, 06 electrification works, 02 interlocking works, 02 roads/culverts, construction of buildings in 04 schools and 01 open gym.

The District Magistrate said that completion of all these works will give a new direction to the development of the district and the common people will get extensive benefits. Expressing his gratitude to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, he expressed hope that in future also the district will continue to benefit from his guidance and cooperation. In the program, Nandlal Gupta District President BJP said that the Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister has adopted Sonbhadra district and set a new outline for the development of the district, through which the villages will be provided with the facility of public drinking water, which will provide a lot of help in solving the problem of drinking water.

On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Jagriti Awasthi, Shravan Kumar Rai, Project Director District Rural Development Agency, District Social Welfare Department Gyanendra Singh Bhadauria, District Panchayat member Mohan Kushwaha and officials of executive departments were present.
