Prayagraj, 28 March. In Allahabad High Court, the proposed hearing on Saturday of the cases to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Masjid dispute of Mathura has been postponed. Now the next hearing on this matter will be on April 10. The whole country is keeping an eye on this much talked about and sensitive matter. Hearing on petitions to this dispute is going on in the High Court for the last several months. The petitions filed by the Hindu side have demanded the removal of the Shahi Idgah Mosque and rights over the disputed land. The court can now decide further proceedings on these petitions on April 10.

At present a total of 18 petitions from the Hindu side are pending in the High Court. At the same time, the mosque side had filed an application under Section 151 of the Code of Civil Procedure on August 22. In this application, a demand has been made to stay the further proceedings of all the consolidated cases, which also has to be considered by the court. This matter is not limited only to the High Court, but hearing on various aspects to it is going on in the Supreme Court also. Due to the ongoing proceedings in both the courts, this dispute has become a topic of discussion at the national level.

It is noteworthy that this disputed site located in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh has been the center of legal and historical debate for a long time. The Hindu side claims that during the reign of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb in the 17th century, the mosque was constructed by demolishing the ancient Keshavdev temple located here. They say that this place is the birthplace of Lord Krishna.

The dispute involves several important issues such as land ownership, rights of worship and archaeological investigation, which are being debated extensively in court. On the other hand, the Muslim side claims the historical and legal validity of the mosque. The dispute includes issues like ownership of the temple land, right to worship and archaeological investigation of the site. At present, more than 18 petitions are pending in Allahabad High Court, in which both the parties are presenting their respective claims.
