Akshay Kumar is in the news these days about his upcoming film ‘Bhoot Bangla’. The release date of his much-awaited film has been postponed once again. Earlier this film was to be released in theaters on 10th April, but now it will be released on 17th April. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has expressed his displeasure over today’s action films.

In a recent interview, he said that in most of today’s action films, computers and technology are being used more instead of real action, due to which the films are starting to look fake. Akshay Kumar expressed his views openly in an interview given to PTI. He said, ‘In earlier times, the action scenes in films looked very real and exciting. The hero really jumped, kicked and ran. But in today’s films, almost all the action is created through VFX (visual effects) and software. It’s not fun because everything seems fake.

What kind of film does Akshay want to make?

Akshay further said, ‘I want to make an action film in which everything is real. If I have to jump, I will really jump, if I have to kick, I will really kick. I don’t like that 15 people surround me and help me and later everything is shown through VFX. I want to make a true action film without VFX, in which the audience can feel how much hard work and sweat has gone into it.

Real action should be taken not by AI

Akshay Kumar also expressed his concern over the increasing use of AI. He said, ‘Today is the era of AI and people can think anything, but I still want to make a film which is full of real action. The audience should realize that this action has not been made with the help of computers or AI, but with real hard work.

Akshay’s work front

Talking about the work front, Akshay Kumar is currently busy preparing for the horror-comedy film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ directed by Priyadarshan. In this film, along with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu and Vamika Gabbi will also be seen in lead roles. The new release date of the film is 17 April 2026. Apart from this, Akshay Kumar will soon be seen in ‘Golmaal 5’, which is going to be released in the year 2027.
