Lucknow, Amrit Thoughts: The excitement of IPL has reached its peak in Lucknow. Preparations are in the final stages for the match between host Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals on April 1 at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium. LSG has been sharpening its preparations on the field for the last ten days. Whereas, the Delhi Capitals team will reach Lucknow on March 30 and practice the next day. On Saturday, a practice match took place in the stadium under flood lights.

In the presence of captain Rishabh Pant, Global Director Tom Moody and head coach Justin Langer, the players demonstrated their fitness and form. The team management was seen in deep discussion regarding the final eleven selection. LSG’s biggest strength is their explosive batting line-up. The team includes foreign veterans Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran, who can challenge any bowling attack. In the middle order, captain Rishabh Pant, Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad will contribute a lot in batting. The bowling department is headed by experienced Mohammed Shami, while the fast bowling of Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan will be a challenge for the opposition team. Digvesh Rathi will handle the responsibility of spin bowling.
