Nayara Diesel Rate Increase: Nayara Energy Limited announced an increase in petrol prices by Rs 5 per liter and diesel by Rs 3 per liter across the country, sparking outrage among both dealers and the general public. The All India Naira Dealers Welfare Association has termed the move as sudden, unilateral and arbitrary. The association says the decision was taken without any prior consultation and without taking into account the financial impact on dealers’ business and investments.

Dissatisfaction may increase among common people and dealers

Experts say that increased fuel prices not only put pressure on consumers’ pockets but also affect dealers’ business and customer confidence. After this increase, the situation of dissatisfaction among the general public and dealers is likely to increase in the coming days.

“It has suddenly become an additional burden for consumers. Dealers, who are the frontline representatives of the company, are facing customer dissatisfaction even though they have no role in deciding prices,” This has been said in the request.

The association warned

The association has warned that if this unreasonable price increase is not immediately rolled back, they will be forced to take stringent measures like stopping operations at major supply depots. The dealers have demanded the government and the company to immediately roll back the price hike of petrol and diesel and to consult with the All India Naira Dealers Welfare Association before taking such major decisions in future. The association has called upon all Naira dealers across the country to unite and be ready for collective action if the decision is taken by the central body.
